MAKING AN OFFER

We’ll help you seal the deal

Uncommon Ground

Maybe you are wondering?

Even before an offer to purchase is made, a buyer must be at least pre-qualified or, better yet, pre-approved by a lender unless it is a cash offer, in which case a mortgage or other financing is unnecessary.

A pre-approval letter is not just a document, it’s a shield of financial security. It’s one of the best negotiating tools a buyer can have, showing the seller that you are not just interested, but financially able to purchase the home. After you have found the right home, it is time to prepare the offer. Step by step, here is how the offer-making process goes:

Keepin’ it simple

How to make an offer

First, the fun part—house hunting! We’ll compile a list of properties that meet your needs and preferences, thoroughly researching each to provide you with the information needed for an informed decision.

Our agents will further analyze the property and decide upon a solid offer, guiding you in presenting the offer to the seller.

We will help draft the offer contract and, upon your approval, submit it to the seller.

The lay of the land

The Seller will respond in one of these three ways:

The seller accepts and signs the offer. Yay! You’ll officially be under contract.

The seller sends a counter-offer. Discuss the changes with your agent and clarify expectations. You can choose to walk away, submit a new offer, or accept the counter-offer.
The seller rejects the offer. No problem! You can either revise your offer if your circumstances allow, or continue your search for the right property.
